Classical Fencing Open Tournament

The AHF, in conjunction with Palm Beach Classical Fencing, is pleased to host our annual classical fencing tournament in South Florida, to be held on Saturday, March 27th, 2010 at the National Croquet Center in West Palm Beach.

This is the perfect opportunity for the classical fencing community to celebrate the art, science, and spirit of classical fencing, meet other fencers from around the country, and test their skills in what is always an exciting event.

This event is open to all fencers who would like to experience the classical fencing tradition first-hand. Please be sure to fully read the rules, which include all equipment standards. Rules will be strictly enforced.

Schedule

9:00 - 9:30 am: Registration and equipment inspection
9:30am - 12:30pm: first half of tournament
12:30 - 1:30 pm: Break for lunch
1:30 - 4:00 pm: second half of tournament

Registration

To pre-register, please use our registration form.

Pre-registration: $20.00 for AHF members, $25.00 for non-members.
On-site registration: $25.00 for AHF members, $30.00 for non-members.

Pre-registration must be postmarked by March 8th, 2010. Registration will also be accepted at the door.

Spectators are welcome free of charge.

No video taping or flash photography of the tournament will be permitted.

The National Croquet Center is only one mile from Palm Beach International airport (PBI) [see map]. Driving directions from I-95 are as follows:

Approaching on I-95 headed southbound, take the Southern Boulevard exit east and turn right at the first stop light (Parker); turn right again at the next stop light (Summit); proceed under the Interstate overpass to the next stop light, which will be Florida Mango. Turn left on Florida Mango and left again into the Center's parking lot.

Approaching on I-95 headed northbound, take the Forest Hill Boulevard exit west to Florida Mango Road and turn right. Before you reach the stoplight on Summit Boulevard, you will see the Center on your right.

Transportation

The closest airport is Palm Beach International Airport (PBI), located in West Palm Beach, only one mile from the National Croquet Center. Taxi service is available from the airport.
