Seminars: Bringing the AHF to You

Since the primary goal of the Association for Historical Fencing is to preserve the arts of classical, historical, and ancient fencing, we are pleased to host a service to aid in the organization of seminars, lectures, workshops and similar programs in order to disseminate knowledge and basic factual material to the fencing community.

We already sponsor several seminars and tournaments throughout the year, all of which have met with great success. If you would like to host a seminar or workshop in your area, please contact the Seminar Coordinator, Christopher J. Umbs, to make arrangements. A fee structure is in place and available to the membership; non members must negotiate separate fees with the seminar coordinator.

Procedure for scheduling a workshop:

An informal inquiry may be e-mailed directly to the Seminar Coordinator, Christopher J. Umbs, at . Mr. Umbs will be glad to discuss possible options, answer any questions you may have, and aid those interested with the formal request that must be sent to the AHF board. The board will then send a response, including the appropriate requirements and a formal contract.
